This model has its roots in a revolver that appeared in 1899 under the name "Military & Police". It was an evolution of an earlier model called the .38 Hand Ejector, and was given the M10 number after World War II. It was used by the US-British military during the war and was widely used by many US and international law enforcement agencies for decades after the war. Since then, "Military & Police" has remained as a common name, and even now the lineup has been expanded as the "Military & Police" series.
Inheriting that tradition, a 2-inch model has been added to the M10. This model was born from the demand for a compact model, although the 5-shot capacity of the M36 Chief Special was disappointing. The number of bullets has increased by one to six, making it the same as the rival Colt's Detective Special. Also, S&W's trigger action is more controllable and smooth than Colt's revolvers, which is welcome. It must have happened. Law enforcement agencies such as the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) at the time were also approached and some were adopted.
Introducing the Ver.3 gas gun, which has been reborn with improved accuracy and firing performance. In addition to reproducing the real engraving, a new 2-inch barrel has been manufactured, and a press weight is placed inside the round butt type grip, giving it a heavy feel and improving balance.
