The revamped M1911a1 recoil spring and spring guide set brings highly precision-made materials to a wide variety of M1911 variants for improved reliability and durability. The steel itself is polished to an average roughness of 0.8 to 1.0 for an ultra smooth cycle. The ball bearing ball relieves torsion on your recoil spring for reduced wear and tear. Lastly, the two piece spring guide rod allows for even more customization for those that like using recoil buffers, or utilizing a shorter spring guide for compact slide variants.
