In 1907, Colt introduced the masterpiece Police Positive, a revolver that incorporated a "positive lock" that blocked the hammer when the trigger was not pulled. As it became popular as a revolver for police officers, a variant with a barrel shortened to 2 inches and compatible with the .38 spl cartridge was added, and was named the Detective Special. "Detective" means a detective, and as the name suggests, it was widely used by plainclothes detectives and detectives, and it became a model that was widely recognized as a representative model of snubnose revolvers.

This time, we have made extensive modifications to the Detective Special, which was sold as a model gun by our company, and have been reborn as the "R-model" with improved reproducibility, durability, and operability.
The cylinder lock-up problem (symptoms where the timing between trigger movement and cylinder rotation changes) that occurred due to the faithful reproduction of the Colt mechanism, which was a problem with the previous model, has been solved with a strong press and die-cast two-piece construction. A modified rebound lever prevents misalignment of actuation timing over a long period of time.
In addition, the inside of the grip is equipped with pressed weights, and the exterior features features such as anti-reflection grooves on the front and rear sights, and anti-slip serrations on the trigger, giving the image of a Colt Detective from 1946 onwards. The details of the 2nd type have been faithfully reproduced.
The meshing of other internal parts has also been reviewed, making it a model that allows you to experience the mechanism of the Colt double action revolver that has been around for over 100 years.
