TANAKA WORKS - Model 1897 Trench Gun Heavy Weight Ver.2 (Model Gun)

During World War 1 the United States military used the M1897 as short-barreled shotgun which was called the "trench gun" by US troops. It features a perforated steel heat shield over the barrel and an adapter with bayonet lug for affixing a bayonet. The six-shot capacity of the M1897 increased its stopping power and made it extremely effective for close combat to defeat the German army.

The Tanaka Works Model Gun version replicates the bolt mechanism. For the "Version 2" M1897 the operability had been improved and rapid fire can be also performed simply by continuing the pump action with trigger pulled. The explosive sound is doubled by the parallel double cap design of the cartridges. The engine part finished in gray color imitates the old iron color, the wooden stock & fore end are wooden.
