Precision instrument

What a great AEG. First of all, it is dead accurate and consistent. The greabox is near silent, the way a well shimmed and machined set of gears should be. Overall construction is heavy duty and with majority of the gun constructed out of sturdy high quality metal parts. The only part that seems somewhat flimsy is the handguard (and the front sight), though it too is made of high quality plastic. The fit on the bipod could stand a little improvement. Given that this was developed as a milspec training weapon for the GSDF, the overall quality is superb and robust. The mechanical three round burst is also a very unique and well implemented feature. The slim and compact form factor is also a plus if you are a smaller individual like myself. The magazines feed well and are easy to change. As an added bonus, this gun will also take any standard Marui style AR / M4 / M16 magazines. The one major drawback to be aware of if you live outside of Japan is that the gearbox is not a standard version 2 (version 8), so it may be difficult for you to get spare parts (short of ordering directly from Marui) to fix any malfunctions. Also the availability of accessories and upgrade parts seem limited compared to the ubiquitous M4. But given the build quality, this gun will probably last you for years before any serious breakdown. FPS chronos consistently around the 300 mark, per Japanese laws.
