TANAKA WORKS - S&W.38 Chiefs Special (Pre-M36) 2inch Square Butt "Joker" Model HW Ver.2 (Model Gun)

Before S&W moved to the model number system in 1957, this is an updated version of the square butt frame type from when the M36 was still called the ".38 Chief Special" (commonly known as the Pre-M36).

Among them, in the movie "JOKER" (2019), which won numerous movie awards, we have reproduced the pre-M36, which is the reason why Arthur, played by Joaquin Phoenix, falls into "Joker" with a model gun.

In the early 1950s, the square butt specification was added to improve the grip of real guns, which was unpopular with Americans with large hands. Although it is a concealed revolver, it has a square butt and a large size, but once you hold it, you can feel that it has a firm grip.

In addition to the characteristic square butt grip mentioned above, the model gun also reproduces the 4-screw type of side plate that was characteristic of that era. We have also created a new flat thumb piece with the characteristic stepped shape seen in the Pre-M36, which is taller than the M36 early model we previously produced.

Although it is a niche model in the history of S&W J frames, it is certainly a rare model that existed. This time, it is finally available as an ignition type model gun
